Manned aviation acts mainly as a strike weapon against targets detected by Sirius, noted in the company "Kronstadt"

MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. The latest Russian heavy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) "Sirius" will be able to work as part of reconnaissance and strike circuits together with manned aviation. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the company "Kronstadt".

"The ability to interact with manned aviation means joint work as part of reconnaissance and strike circuits, where the complex with uaVs acts as a reconnaissance and an operational strike weapon against ground and surface objects detected by it. Manned aviation acts mainly as a strike weapon against targets detected by Sirius," the company said.

Earlier it was reported that serial deliveries to the troops of new Sirius drones will begin in 2023.

"Sirius" (experimental design work "Inokhodets-RU") is a further development of the Orion drones, has two engines and an increased take-off weight. The first flight is expected in May 2022. Sirius will be serially produced at the first specialized plant for the production of large-sized UAVs built by Kronstadt in Dubna.
